A piece of sheer genius (really).

Abolish the Quartet. So says Martin Peretz in a piece published in Ha'aretz. It reminds me of Einstein's answer to Lincoln Steffens who asked him how he got to his discoveries. By doing away with with an axiom, Einstein answered. Peretz is approaching this level of enlightment with the idea of simply abolishing the now obsolete quartet. Read all about it here :
