The mosque, the ambulance and the donkey: the limits of Teflon - UPDATE

On February 10, 2003, I posted an article with the foregoing title, decrying the fact that the Arab terrorists in Yesha get away with bloody murder (such as using ambulances and mosques in their war of terror) and nothing seems to stick to them (until they explode a donkey, in which case it’s PETA to the rescue).

Today, the Jerusalem Post had this to report:

An Israeli military court on Monday sentenced a Palestinian driver to four and a half years in prison for smuggling weapons and explosives in his ambulance, an army statement said.

Troops caught Aslan Jibril, from the Balata refugee camp in the West Bank city of Nablus, with an explosive belt of the type used by suicide bombers and other weapons and ammunition concealed under a gurney in his Red Crescent ambulance, the military said. The incident took place in March 2002.
Do not be surprised if the ICRC accuses Israel of too harsh a sentence.
