Information on the terror attack in Netanya

Fifty eight people were wounded in a homicide bombing at the entrance of the London Cafe at the pedestrian mall in the center of Netanya shortly before 1 PM on Sunday.
Fifteen people were still hospitalized today including Israel Defense Forces soldier Gil Cooperman, 21, who prevented the terrorist from entering the cafe, thus saving many lives. Cooperman was in serious but stable condition. Six people were in moderate condition, and the rest sustained light injuries.
The Islamic Jihad claimed responsibility for the attack, calling it a "gift to the Iraqi people." On Sunday, two Palestinian terror groups, Fatah and Islamic Jihad, said they were sending suicide bombers to Iraq to increase the number of attacks on the coalition forces.
The attack in Netanya was the first homicide bombing since March 5, when 17 Israelis were killed in a bus blast in the northern port city of Haifa.
