Sounds like a warning that such attacks will not be tolerated. Hizbollah attack 'serious development': Israel

A rocket attack by guerrillas from Lebanon's Shiite movement Hizbollah on Israeli positions in a disputed border region is a "serious development," a spokesman for Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon said.

"This bombardment is a serious development. It is a clear attempt to provoke an escalation in the region ahead of the Israeli general elections or of a possible war with Iraq," said Raanan Gissin.

"Responsibility for maintaining calm in the sector and for these serious developments falls on those who support Hizbollah."

Israeli warplanes carried out a raid on south Lebanon following the rocket attack, firing four missiles in two over flights of an area to the west of Kfarshuba village.
