Political correctness overdone

I am stunned that the Tallahassee Democrat would cave in to Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Washington- based Council on American- Islamic Relations and the principal apologist for radical Islam in the United States.

Would someone at that paper kindly explain to me what is wrong or incorrect with reporter Bill Cotterell's statement in a private e-mail exchange that, "Except for Jordan and Egypt, no Arab nation has a peace treaty with Israel. They've had 54 years to get over it. They choose not to."

That's just a statement of fact. It is not insensitive.

As far as the statement Cotterell made that "I don't give a damn if Israel kills a few in collateral damage while defending itself. So be it": The Palestinians kill Israelis every day and/or week, and it's not collateral damage, it's the objective.

For suspending the reporter for a week without pay, Tallahassee Democrat Executive Editor John Winn Miller is a coward and obviously doesn't believe in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Political correctness is nothing more than liberal totalitarianism. I suppose that's all one can expect from a rag named the Tallahassee Democrat.
