I have posted this article not so much for the news here that is availble elsewhere but as an example of objectve reporting without the used of loaded words to pitch an anti-Israel bias, as so often happens in the Western media. Israeli army destroys 20 houses, detaines 15 Palestinians

GAZA, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Israeli army on Tuesday destroyed 20 houses and detained 15 Palestinians all over the West Bank and Gaza, Palestinian witnesses reported.

Israeli army entered an area southwest of Hebron, and blew up the house of Sakem Darabe'e, a member of the Fatah movement chaired by Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

Israel had detained Darabe'e six month ago and accused him of being involved in armed attacks against Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers in Hebron.

Meanwhile, Israeli army demolished 20 houses and stores near the village of Nazlat Eassa in the West Bank city of Ramallah, claiming that the buildings were built up without permission of Israeli army.

Before the demolition, the owners of the properties had demonstrated together with foreign and Israeli peace activists in an attempt to block Israeli bulldozers.

Since last August, Israeli army has destroyed dozens of houses owned by Palestinian militants involved in attacks against Israel.

Demolishing houses is part of the Israeli government's policy to put an end to the Palestinian armed attacks.

Israel Radio reported that the Israeli security forces arrested over night 15 Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza, adding that they are wanted by the Israeli security forces.
